Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LA Magazine ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit la-magazin.com. We are an online and print magazine: you do not need an account to read it, and we keep data collection to a minimum.
Who we are
LA Magazine — Cyprus Edition. The publisher and legal entity details will be confirmed here. For any privacy question you can contact us by email (see the Contact page).
What we collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect names, accounts or payment information on this website. We process only:
- Aggregated, anonymous usage statistics through Umami analytics — such as page views, the referring site, an approximate region, and the type of device or browser. Umami is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally.
- Standard technical data kept by our hosting and content-delivery providers (for example an IP address and the time of a request) for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The site may store a small preference in your browser's local storage — for example, whether night mode is on, or your chosen text size. This stays on your device, is not sent to us and is not used to identify you. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Why we are allowed to do this (legal basis)
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website and in understanding, in aggregate, how it is used — without identifying individuals.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Limited technical data is processed by the service providers that host the site, deliver its images (CDN) and provide cookieless analytics, acting on our behalf and under our instructions.
How long we keep it
Aggregated analytics are retained only for as long as they are useful for editorial and traffic analysis. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may have the right to access, correct or erase any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Because we collect almost no information that identifies you, we may be unable to link a request to a specific person; where we can, we will respond. To make a request, contact us by email (see the Contact page).
Visitors from outside the EU
The site is operated from Cyprus (EU). If you visit from another country, your data may be processed in the EU under the protections described here.
